Refurbishment

Jeremy Mogford bought the lease of this 17th century building over 25 years ago restoring its original features to create the much loved luxury hotel that we know today. Spring 2014 sees the reopening of the hotel following an extensive refurbishment; the original charm & character of the building is now combined with the very latest comfort, amenity & technology available.

Bedrooms are individually designed by Sally Conran using all natural materials; wool, linen and velvet. Marble bathrooms are designed by Martina Landhed. There are an additional five bedrooms on a new floor & a residents library for guests to relax in.

The new-look restaurant & bar, famous for its intimate, bohemian, clubby atmosphere, displays an amazing collection of eclectic oil paintings, mainly portraits of well-known writers & artists.

Our state of the art kitchen uses the best produce, cooked simply to create classic British dishes with a modern, light touch. A new pastry section guarantees the Parsonage will remain the place to have afternoon tea in Oxford. Open every day of the year, enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner & our famous afternoon teas in the company of Oxford’s academic & literary elite.

We look forward to welcoming you once again.
